Today marks a new chapter for Sigma Healthcare (Sigma) as the Chadstone My Chemist store officially transitions to an Amcal Plus pharmacy, opening its doors to customers on Thursday, 27 March 2025.

This significant transformation not only marks a pivotal moment for the Group but also represents the commitment to the Amcal brand and a homecoming as this iconic Victorian pharmacy returns to its former Amcal branding.

Over the next six months, Sigma has secured its franchisees’ commitment to convert more than 20 My Chemist stores to Amcal pharmacies as part of its broader strategy to reinvigorate Amcal’s position as a leader in the Australian pharmacy landscape. Chadstone is the first of  many, reflecting the company’s commitment to expanding Amcal’s footprint and enhancing customer access to trusted pharmacy services across Australia.

The recent merger between Sigma and the Chemist Warehouse Group helps accelerate Amcal’s expansion, with Chadstone being the first of a new wave of pharmacies to open under the Amcal brand. The merger leverages the combined strengths of Sigma’s wholesale and distribution capabilities with Chemist Warehouse’s retail expertise, creating an integrated healthcare company better able to deliver health services and outcomes for our customers.
