Now in its fourth year, our LEAPP Dispensary Excellence Program is taking enrolments for the 12-week Foundation course commencing August 2020.
Launched in 2017 for our Amcal and Guardian pharmacies as an industry first, the LEAPP Dispensary Excellence Program is now a proven way of inspiring pharmacy teams – significantly enhancing engagement with patients, leading to a boost in revenue and profits as a result. Across participants, pharmacies are seeing an average $51,282 annual gross profit uplift.
What is the LEAPP Program?
The vision behind LEAPP is to deliver dispensary workflow efficiencies that free up pharmacists’ time to engage more with their patients. Traditionally, the most knowledgeable members of your dispensary team are so busy they are struggling to find time to speak with patients and offer expert advice and value-added health services.
The LEAPP Dispensary Excellence Program delivers the following outcomes:
- Increased pharmacist availability at script-in and script-out counters
- Enhanced engagement with patients
- Successful implementation of value-add health services
Standing for Leadership, Engagement, Analytics, Physicals and Professional Services, the Foundation course is undertaken by pharmacy teams to understand the strategy behind LEAPP and how to make the sustained practice changes necessary to achieve its vision. Over 12 weeks, participants follow a structured learning and development program across five elements:
- Leadership and change management to build team culture and sustain change
- Engagement and Care Counselling to optimise customer interactions and create better health outcomes and product and services uptake
- Analytics and data to set goals, measure outcomes and support business performance
- Physical design and workflow to build efficiencies and optimise dispensary systems and processes
- Professional Services implementation and execution to add value and revenue
As well as a series of online assets and virtual workshops, our pharmacist team of Subject Matter Experts provide in-pharmacy coaching and support.
Following the completion of the 12-week LEAPP Foundation Program, pharmacies continue to receive support from the team of pharmacists and LEAPP coaches to maintain and sustain behaviour change. This includes phone and video coaching sessions, online e-learning modules and webinars, and weekly newsletters to reinforce key actions that support team engagement and business results.
